Also Giving the chance of an education to poor, vulnerable, orphan, physically handicapped and disaster affected children throughout the India.
Today there are an estimated, millions of children and young people in India living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care. Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis.
We support these families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness and are in the greatest need. Our Support Workers provide a life line to these families and children.
We see a strong future in partnership working. We want to work more closely with hospices and other relevant charities, NGOs and organisations who support children and their families. Our aim is to ensure collaboration so there are no gaps in care for the families we support.
We will increase volunteering opportunities, not only to help us reach and support more families, but also to encourage volunteers to support families in their own communities. We can help develop and educate communities to better support families so that care really can begin at home.
Anyone can refer a family to us (for example, a family member, friend, health, education or social care professional) provided consent from the family has been given for the referral to be made. Please see our FAQ’s for more detail on our support and criteria for support.
